Tola Murphy-Baran is a business builder and a brand builder, having launched and managed multiple highly-profitable new businesses in sports and entertainment, each leveraging new media distribution technologies. She is a co-founder of The Holgate Group, a consulting organization that focuses on the marriage of media and technology. Most recent clients include AdKeeper, a transformative new online advertising startup; Brightcove, the nation s leading video streaming technology provider; and Stream57, a breakout provider of webcasting and rich media delivery solutions.

Previously, Tola built a new sports department at Sirius Satellite Radio, acquiring marketing and broadcasting rights to create a sports lineup of nearly 5,000 live events yearly, representing the top professional and collegiate sports properties in the world, and leveraged those assets to help grow subscriptions from 250K to 9 million in four years.

During her 9 years at the National Football League, Tola founded and was General Manager of NFL Sunday Ticket, the most profitable and successful premium subscription business in sports history, which today generates $1 billion in annual revenue to the NFL and is credited with driving the explosive growth of DirecTV. She also moved the NFL into other new digital applications for video and data in the US, Asia, Europe and Canada.

Tola also launched and managed the sales and marketing operation for Viacom Satellite Networks, which generated over $100 million in annual revenue through the direct marketing of subscription programming to home satellite dish owners.

Tola is the past Chairman of the Board of the Satellite Broadcasting & Communications Association of America, and currently sits on the National Sports Marketing Network's New York Chapter Board and the Fordham University Maroon Club Advisory Council.

She is a graduate of Fordham University in New York City and resides in New Jersey.
