NSMN’s Brand Exchange events are among the most popular and well-attended events in the organization’s history because they bring together leading brand decision-makers to discuss their sports spending in a very unique format!

The unique live think-tank format features speakers sitting around a large conference room table. The audience (NSMN members who attend for free) are seated around the speaker table to listen in.  The think-tank conversation is facilitated and focuses on national and local sports spending, ROI, social media and other timely issues regarding their sponsorship portfolios.

  • What do you like about the sponsorship sales and activation process? Dislike?
  • What drives your brand’s spending today and how will that change in the next 5-10 years?
  • Discuss the best local sponsorship activation programs you have seen in the past year. Discuss your best local activation and why it was so successful for your brand.
  • Why doesn't our industry have a standard for measurement? How do media buyers, advertising agencies, properties and brands all differ on metrics?
  • Discuss ROI and how its role has changed over the years. What do you like and dislike about the process of evaluation? What would you change?
  • How does your company measure ROI and how has the economy impacted how you invest?
  • How does advertising and media buying enhance a sponsorship buy?
  • Discuss what you feel have been the best media buys locally over the past decade and why?
  • Describe how your brand uses social media and how you incorporate the various social media platforms into your strategy. Which social media platform has been most successful? How do you measure ROI in social media?
  • How do current events, domestically and internationally effect your marketability of products with consumers? How does sponsorship help with messaging? Give examples.
  • Discuss what is affecting change in your marketplace and why? Are your consumers changing and how will you adapt to that change?
  • What are you expecting to happen in sports that might take your brand to next level?  And what might happen that could hurt the success and marketability of your brand?
  • How much more active should brands be in supporting local causes? When sponsoring a community property, what is the proper balance between pure philanthropy and return on your investment?
  • Discuss recent sports scandals and if they had any impact on your sponsorship business and ROI?  Will companies now have a different outlook on endorsement deals?
  • What trends do you see in the sports sponsorship business? What are you doing to stay current?
  • What is the next big sports sponsorship category and why?
  • Discuss how sponsorships contracts have evolved in the past few years to protect companies that partner with athletes and properties.
  • Discuss the public’s image of sports sponsorship and hospitality. What does your company do to help with any negative image?
  • What corporate brand do you admire the most for their national sponsorship portfolio & activation.
