Q. |
If I join NSMN today, how long does my membership cover me for? |
A. |
NSMN memberships are 12-month memberships. Your membership begins the day that you purchase it online and it expires 12 months later. In your 11th month of membership, NSMN will remind you that your membership renewal bill is ready so that you may renew your membership and enjoy continuous service. |

Q. |
If I move or change jobs, can I take my membership with me? |
A. |
If you are an Individual or Individual PLUS Member, then you own your membership and you can take it with you. You would simply update your contact information on NSMN's Customer Service web page. However, if you are covered by your company's Corporate, Corporate PLUS, Supporting, Patron or Patron PLUS Membership, then you do not own your membership and you are only a member for as long as you work at the company and for as long as they include you in their company-owned membership. From your new home and new job, you can renew with NSMN and purchase your own membership. Or perhaps your new company will already have a membership package that covers their employees. |

Q. |
I am interested in signing my company up for membership. What is the difference between Corporate, Supporting and Patron Membership? |
A. |
All three levels of membership are owned by the company. Corporate Membership includes up to 10 full-time staff. Supporting Membership includes up to 50 full-time staff. Patron Membership is a company-wide level that includes all of your full-time staff. The larger the membership package, the more cost-effective your purchase is! With each level, the company submits a staff list to NSMN of the employees they want their membership package to cover. If one of the employees leaves the company, you can simply replace them in your membership package. All of these membership levels cover staff from any of the company's offices in any city. |

Q. |
What is a PLUS membership level? |
A. |
NSMN's Individual PLUS, Corporate PLUS and Patron PLUS membership levels all cover you -- but they also include one guest pass for each member in the package to use when attending NSMN events. Guest passes may be used for business guests only and the member must accompany their guest into the NSMN event. Expired members or colleagues who have been "NSMN guests" in the past cannot be your PLUS guest. |

|
Q. |
My boss paid for my membership. Who owns it? |
A. |
NSMN Individual and Individual PLUS Memberships are owned by the member whose name is on the membership. If your boss pays for it on his/her credit card or if he/she reimburses you, you still own the membership.
However, the Corporate, Corporate PLUS, Supporting, Patron, Patron PLUS Membership levels are owned by the company no matter who paid for the purchase. If you leave your job, you will no longer be covered by that company's membership package. |
|
|
Q. |
How much does it cost to attend NSMN events? |
A. |
NSMN events are free and open to members only. With the exception of our Sports Tackles Cancer fundraisers, members never pay a fee to attend an educational event produced and hosted by the National Sports Marketing Network (NSMN). |
|
|
Q. |
Am I allowed to change my membership level? |
A. |
Yes. You can change your current membership level by upgrading to a higher level any time within your 12 month membership. However, you can apply the cost of the original membership to the cost of the new level if you are within 30 days of the original purchase date. When upgrading your membership, your original 12 month term does not change. Your original purchase date is the start date of your 12 month membership. |

Q. |
My university wants to sign up a group of students for membership. Can we do this? |
A. |
No. Since membership applicants have to qualify for membership, we do not offer a group membership for students. However, we offer a discounted student rate for full-time students. Learn more about how NSMN defines "full-time" and about the other requirements of the Student Membership program. |

Q. |
I want to buy a gift membership for a friend. How can I do this? |
A. |
NSMN has a very popular Gift Membership program. You, the gift-giver would apply for membership online using our gift membership application and include the recipient's contact information. You can select any level of membership. NSMN will process your order and send you a receipt by email. We will then send the gift recipient a "welcome new member" email letting them know that you have signed them up for membership to NSMN. Please remember, all members must qualify for membership with past or current sports business work experience. |

|
Q. |
I am a member and I cannot attend NSMN's event. Can I send someone else in my place? |
A. |
No. Individual Membership is non-transferable and it may only be used by the person registered as a member. Individual PLUS Membership is also non-transferable and your event guest must accompany you to the event. Corporate, Supporting and Patron Membership cover only the employees named to the membership package by the company. There are positively no exceptions! |
